Bathroom Before and After (finally!)

Long, long ago (ok, more like eight or nine months ago) I painted our bathroom. After scouring Pinterest, I was inspired by this frame. I decided on bright green walls, because I am all about colorful walls. Painting was the biggest change, but I also got a new shower curtain, painted the cabinets, put trim around the mirror and made a wall hanging/art thing. I still haven't gotten a new bathmat, because the one we have is in perfectly good shape, so it's definitely a want not a need, even though it doesn't match. One day I'll get a tan one that matches the hand towels. I'm also toying with the idea of something like this as well as this.

I tried to keep track of how much I spent on the project, but it's been so long I forgot. My main expense was obviously the paint. There's some left over, but I'm not sure how full the can is, or if it was the first or second one. This is what happens when you take eight months to complete a project. We had the cabinet and trim paint leftover from repainting the kitchen cabinets when we bought the house. The shower curtain is from Amazon, the hand towels were a housewarming gift from Chris' grandparents and I got the frame for $10 at a garage sale.  I spray painted it with paint I already had and the sticks are from our dead apple tree.

Oh, and you know how one of my summer goals is to organize our digital photos? Too bad I haven't finished doing that, because I can't find the Official Before Photos. Thankfully, I have some from when we looked at the house before we bought it, so they will have to suffice.

Also, the green isn't quite as lime-y in real life. Gotta love computer monitors.

(Pardon the poor shot of this--I didn't feel like standing in the tub to get the full frame in the picture)
